We want to start this year by thanking all students and friends for past support. We are thankful to be starting another New Year surrounded by family and friends and in good health! I am often asked..is Ceramics a dying art?? The answer is clear to me..NO! Visit any museum and see the rich history of Fired arts, Think of your own life and the things you cherish that were handcrafted by family or friends. Creating in clay is an investment in the future. You are making heirlooms for the next generation. And you can have a GREAT time doing that! So come join the FUN!  Take time this year to be CREATIVE It is 2010 so let’s do it again!!

We will be offering a FREE project in January and early February called Love Stems. Nothing lifts your spirits or warms your heart more than making something for someone else. So stop by and let us tell you all about Love Stems.

Sunday January 10  2-4pm. Join us as we celebrate Max’s 7^th Birthday with the No Bake Birthday Cake Party. We have been asking for your favorite cake recipes and that you donate the cost of the ingredients to the Max Wheelchair accessible Van Fund. We will put the recipe collection into a cookbook to share with the participants as well as have extras available for a Max Fund contribution too. Max wants to tell you Thanks so stop in and have pie and coffee with us! Please RSVP {317-892-4091} so I will be sure and have enough prepared. We are also planning a year long project of collecting a post card from all 50 states and from as many foreign countries as possible…so if you hear of someone traveling or might be traveling yourself..please keep us in mind!!

Thursday January 7^th. Studio is booked for a private glass class party. Be sure to book your parties as early as possible for the best dates and times. Invite your girlfriends, do pitch in snacks, and have a great creative evening! Ask Sally for details!

Tuesday January 13 The Lunch Bunch celebrates with the Ramen Noodle Festival. In keeping with our Max Fund project this month we are sharing our favorite way to serve Ramen Noodles. Great for your pocketbook too, we will share some unique recipes for everyone that joins us! This is a FUN time and we will offer special buys on soup bowls, mugs, and tureens! Lunch is at Noon

Thursday January 14 6pm. Join Lisa for a Glass Scrap Box creating class. You will be able to make up to 5 items using the glass from our scraps for only $20…a great savings! Get busy crafting for the upcoming Birthdays of family and friends!

Monday January 18 It’s a CLAY DAY! Join us in the day or evening sessions where we will focus on clay projects…a great chance to experience wheel throwing, coil or slab projects. What FUN!!! Come and sling a little mud with us!

Tuesday January 19 Day and evening classes will focus on set creating. Whether it’s Nativity, chess, or village sets it takes TIME so plan to join us in the monthly session focused on helping you get a “set” project completed. Hopefully you ordered your sets at the Jan sale…but if not we will give you one more chance to do that and SAVE today!

Wednesday January 20 we are starting a new class series for home schooled. Class session is scheduled the middle Wednesday of the month from 1-3pm.  Today’s session will focus on clay hand modeled projects. We will create picture frames with clay add ons.  Cost is $10 and pre-registration is required.

Monday January 25 and Tuesday January 26 It’s the first Jingle Bell Jump for the year. We will be making “portions plates” A great gift for the dieter or food conscious friend. The plate will show the correct portions size for Fruit, meat, vegetable, and starch portions at your meal.  We will offer this project in the day and evening class. Cost is $18 and we suggest you pre-register!

Wednesday January 27  1-3pm. Day Glass Class session will feature glass sagged bottles. This quick, simple and fun project will produce a finished spoon holder or cheese ball dish for only $8. 

Wednesday January 27 6pm. Join the CATS group as we make plans for this year, We welcome anyone interested in promoting art and FUN!! We will have a pitch in dinner.

Saturday Jan 30 It’s A FREE Class day! Everyone is being frugal this year and we want to help!  There will be no class session fee charged today! Also we are offering a FREE project. Come and join us creating “Love Stems”

Saturday February 6  1-3pm KIDS ONLY Valentines Class Making 2 projects for someone you love. Cost is $15 and pre-registration is suggested.

Monday February 8.It’s a “Souper Day” Special pricing on soup and snack bowls today. Make one in your favorite team colors!!

Wednesday February 10  Join the Lunch Bunch for “Soup Swap” Bring your favorite soup and containers to take soup home in. Recipes will be requested!  Lunch at Noon and Specials continue on soup bowls, mugs, and tureens!

Thursday February 11 6pm. Join Lisa for Tack Fused Large Dichro cabs. These are just BEAUTIFUL!! And at a great savings too! Stop in and see the samples. Cost is 2 for $30 and pre registration is suggested.

Saturday February 13 It’s Cookie Day. Special prices today on Cookie jars and serving plates. And we will have cookies to share with you too!

Sunday February 14 Sure it’s Valentines Day but it’s also Chinese New Years and CATS wants to invite you to dinner. It’s the year of the Tiger so we will have some Fun surprises and a unique meal. Dinner is at 4pm and cost $15 per person with proceeds going to the Max Fund! Reservations one week prior to this event are required. Don’t Miss the FUN!

Monday February 15^th It’s a Play in the Clay Day! Join us for a fun day focused on clay projects. slab, coil, and wheel thrown work. Project fees will vary and we suggest you let us know ahead of time to reserve your spot on the potter’s wheel! Also we recommend this day for 4H students as a kick off to Fair. Come and get your project ordered!!!

Tuesday February 16 Mardi Gras Party. Come share King Cake and latte with us and take advantage of the special pricing on Masks today only

Wednesday February 17 1-3 Home schooled art join us to create a special Geometric Designs Plate. Plate. We will discuss some basic design theory and color, but mostly we will have FUN! Cost is $18 and pre-registration is suggested.

Thursday Feb 18 and Friday February 19 we will be doing private classes for school and scout groups. Be sure to book your event classes as early as possible. Our Private Birthday Parties are AWESOME!! Call Sally for details

Monday and Tuesday February 22-23 during all regular class hours join me for Hot Chocolate Celebrations. I will share some of my favorite recipes for Hot chocolate and offer special pricing on cups and mugs!

Wednesday February 24 1-3pm Day glass class session will focus on basic cabochons so if you have wanted to try out this fun and beautiful art…now is your chance! You can make 3 cabs for $30

Saturday February 27 We want to help you save money so it’s another Free class session! No class fees will be charged today.

Wednesday March 17 Join the Lunch Bunch for saving the Green Lunch! Bring your favorite green food to share Lunch is at noon and we will offer some “saving of the green” {30% off Brushes and tools. it is time for new ones right!!}

Thursday March 18^{th at 6pm.}   Join Lisa for the evening glass class creating Glass Easter eggs for pins or necklaces. These are sooooo cute! You can make 2 large or 3 small ones for $15 for yourself or gifts!! Pre-registration is suggested.

Monday March 29th and Tuesday March 30^th Jingle Bell Jump “Flower Pot Power” Offering special prices and projects for your spring flowers. Cost will vary by selected project and we suggest you pre register to be sure you get to do the project you want to do!

Wednesday March 31 1-3pm Day Glass Class Projects will be creating flowers in tack-fused glass. . Cost is by project size $10-$30
